We offer wellness and skill building activities that enhance self-esteem, anchor self-worth, and empower individuals.
We bring people together in safe spaces to connect to each other and support personal growth, community development, and food justice.
We engage in activities that reduce carbon emissions, reduce exposure to toxins, and support people in their alignment with place.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in the belief that healthy, just, and sustainable food systems must be built by and for the communities they serve. We bring people together through regenerative growing practices, composting, environmental stewardship, and hands-on education to strengthen connections between people, place, and food.
Originally founded to support school gardens and community food spaces like Juntos en el Jardín, we have grown into a community-led organization that works alongside schools, farms, healthcare partners, and community organizations to improve access to healthy food, address health-related social needs, and strengthen resilient local food systems.
Across all of our work, we prioritize collaboration, self-determination, and cultural relevance. We co-create programs with participants and partners because we believe communities are the experts in their own needs.
As we grow, we are expanding partnerships that connect food production, environmental stewardship, education, and community health. We are also strengthening relationships with institutions that support equitable food procurement, local producers, and community-led food system development.
Our work has always been about more than geography—it has been about people, partnerships, and community resilience. Today, The Grow Collective partners with schools, families, community organizations, farms, healthcare providers, and local leaders throughout Oregon and California to strengthen resilient, community-led food systems. Whether we're supporting school gardens, therapeutic horticulture, community gardens, composting initiatives, or food systems education, we help communities build healthier soil, healthier food, and stronger connections to one another. We believe resilient food systems are built one relationship at a time.
We partner with schools, farms, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, businesses, and public agencies to strengthen resilient local food systems. Whether you're launching a new initiative or expanding an existing one, we can support program design, partnership development, community engagement, fundraising, evaluation, and strategic planning. Together, we create collaborative solutions that improve access to healthy food, strengthen environmental stewardship, and build community capacity.
